"Imagine"

Yesterday, something unexpected made posting as planned impossible.  I apologize, and without further ado, present the smART Card Stamping Contest's 2nd Place Winner:

Title: "Imagine"
Designed By:  Dina Kowal
smART Rubber Used:  Do You See What I See? (catalog pg. 51), Gathering Flowers (pg. 40), and "imagine" (Bonus Rubber)

Dkcontestjun07Whenever I see Dina's work, I automatically think "artist" instead of "stamper."  She has a real knack for adding her own freehand touches, and making the images she stamps, seemingly come alive.

Just look at her "Imagine" entry...  Realistic, balanced coloring, a pin-pricked butterfly trail, added scenery elements, and the word "imagine" floating among the clouds -- Another one of those captured moments where time stands still. (I also want to mention that "up close, and personal," the grosgrain ribbon embellishment, matches Miss KittyCat's bow exactly.)

To share some personal information:

Dina and her husband are missionaries with New Tribes Missions in Indonesia.  She is also a homeschooling mom with four wee ones, age six and under.

Her blog, "Mama Dini's Stamperia," is my very favorite (usually the "sweet treat" that goes with my morning coffee break)... I love her unpretentious writing style, the revelation of her creative process, and all her wonderful artistry (whether or not it includes smART rubber).

Guess it will come as no surprise then, to hear I've asked this very talented stamping lady to head the smART Cookie Design Team... "Imagine" all the wonderful work we have yet to see...
