A Little Whimsy
Just want to share one of the lighthearted cards from the Season's Greetings 2007 card class I taught at Stamp 'n Scrap in Gardiner, Maine a couple of weeks ago:
Since I had seen a similar "faux matchbook" style card somewhere out there in cyberspace, the design for this card is not 100% original, but the scalloped edge on the cyber card had been made using one of those currently popular Nestabilities dies... This, I'm sure, is why the idea stuck in my mind (or craw), and was the reason I "needed" to prove I could duplicate the look without having the dies...
Actually, my self-imposed challenge was easily accomplished using a pair of good, old-fashioned, Fiskar decorative edged scissors called "Clouds."
If the print paper looks familiar, it may be because it's from the same sheet I used on the last tea party challenge card -- It happened to be handy, and seemed to match the whimsical feel of the dog image and saying from CMS-22 For All.
Looking at the outside of the card, one sees only a partial of Mr. Woofie, but inside he looks like this:
The rest of the cardworks are as follows:
Versafine onyx black ink and Transcendence embossing powder.
Whale Of A Punch circle (for window).
Image colored with markers.
Red/White Swiss dot ribbon.
Diamond glitter glue (on the white areas of the candy cane).
Dimensional glaze (on the dog slobber).
