Sisterhood Collage

February first already!  Time to unveil the 3rd smART Cookie Challenge...

You may already know what a smART Cookie Challenge is, but just in case you don't, it's when each member of smARTworks' design team is given the same rubber stamp(s), and asked to create "something."

The stamp set chosen for Challenge #3 was "Sisterhood" --Sisterhood550

Although the two gals appear as though they might be best friends, the stamp is called "Sisterhood" because in real life, these two were sisters.  Of course, that's not to say they couldn't also have been best friends, but the collage needed a name, and I decided to honor their sibling relationship.

To take a look-see at all the deliciously clever Cookie projects using this "Sisterhood" collage stamp, click here

But wait!   We're not finished quite yet...

By now, some of you also know that every time we have a Cookie Challenge, we also have a contest where participants earn the chance to win a free set of the featured rubber...

Soooooo, if you'd like to throw your name into the hat for the chance to win a free "Sisterhood" stamp, here what you've gotta do:

Submit a comment to this post sharing a favorite sibling moment you remember... It can be good, bad, happy, or sad -- just as long as it's a favorite.

On Monday morning (Feb. 4), I'll put the names of all those participating into a hat, and before he leaves for school, Mr. Eli will pull out a winner. That winning name will then be announced right here, later in the day.

Have fun remembering...

Mine is a silly one - my brother and I used to mimick commercials when we got in trouble and were supposed to be having time out (or standing in the corner)...we'd always turn and face each other and start reciting commercials....how awful is that? We were only 4 or 5 & 6 at the time~

I don't have a sister, do Godsisters count? They were like my sisters. We did everything with our Godparent's family, and they had 3 just slightly older when I came along at that point (before another baby each side). At night, when visiting each others home out of town, they'd take the 4 of us girls, and place us all in our parents double bed to go to sleep. They took alot of pictures of the 4 of us being good as gold in one bed in our sleepers. The pics are so cute and mean alot because we spent our life growing up with them.

OK well I don't have any sisters so this is about my brother and I. I remember being at my grandmothers and my parents had left us there and there was this awesome hill to sled on. Grandma had told us after we had come in the first time if we went out and got cold and wet again we would have to wait outside until our parents got home. well that hill was just the best, guess what we did? We went out sledding on that hill again....well grandma stuck to her rules and we sat on the front door step for like 2 hours waiting for mom and dad to come home. To add insult she let the dog in the house because it wasn't the dogs fault it was all wet again!

I hope it's OK to share even if I don't have a sister. What came to mind was when my older brother was having a procedure done in order to get him ready for bone marrow transplant. He was in a room and I was outside his room praying and hearing him cried from pain when they hooked him up to different tubes and such. It was sad but I was also glad I could be there for him at that moment!

My brother went off to Vietnam when I was only 8 and with all the commotion, I got overlooked at the airport. I always felt badly I didn't get to say goodbye. He returned after losing his arm and became an incredible Psychologist and eventual CEO of a large firm. I was so proud of him and he never overlooked me or anyone else. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given 6 mo to live. I got my goodbye this time.

Well, I don't have any siblings - an only child! But my Dad had a bunch and one of my favorite stories they tell is when my aunt Carol fell out of the woody wagon when my granddad was driving - the brothers and sisters tried to tell him she fell out but he didn't realize it until they got home. Of course, she fell out (when she opened the door) at the beginning of the dirt road where they lived so by the time he realized she wasn't there, she was walking towards the house! She used to get into lots of trouble. And she was the youngest so all of the others watched out for her and someitmes took the blame for her shenanigans!!

I have 2 sisters & we are best friends. It would be fun to have a stamp of the 3 of us!My favorite moment now is when we get together during a week in the summer. We live in 3 different states so this time is special & filled w/fun, laughter & food!

My favorite sibling memory is with my baby sister Meagan. She was about 18 months old and I would have been about 7-1/2 years. She was in one of those chairs with wheels that toddlers run around in and I sat by her in our Grandparents' back yard. I sat with her and fed her an entire lolipop. I still have a photo that our Mom snapped of us and it is in a framed collage Meagan gave me a couple of years ago for my birthday. She and my Mom really are my best friends. Thanks for the opportunity to share!

I remember that me and my brother slept in adjoining bedrooms and one morning we woke up in eachother's beds and neither of us remember it. We were both sleepwalkers!

This is a wonderful stamp!! My sisters are identical twins and are 9 years older than me. When I was little, they used to switch their shoes and purses and try to make me believe that they were the other twin. I would get so confused (because they look A LOT alike). I shouldn't feel bad, as they used to do this to their boyfriends (who are now their husbands too!)
Thanks!

One of my most happy moments with my sister is when we were kids and we would walk to school and she always held my hand. When we arrived at school, she had take me to my class to make sure I got there ok. She still watches over me to this day. Sisters are the best. Thanks for a chance at this sweet candy and for bringing this memory back.

I remember when my younger brother was participating in his school sports day. I had just finished my public exams so was at home. The phone rang to say that he had had a nasty fall, and could I collect him please. Fortunately my older brother was at home with his car. We collected the wounded soldier and took him to the clinic. I sat with him while he was stitched up.
Although this isn't a remarkable story, it is for me as I HATE blood! And tend to go into shock when dealing with it. He has always remembered that I did that for him.

Thanks for the offer here - I love this stamp!

My sister is 2 yrs. younger and when she started kindergarten, I taught her to write her name and she was so proud of herself. Problem is, instead of teaching her how to write Janet, I taught her to write Toe. A couple weeks later her teacher finally said, "Why do you always call yourself Toe - your name is Janet". Boy was she mad at me. She still talks about it 40 some years later:)
