BV-51 Ps. 118:5, and its colors remind me of Fall -- really inviting! I have enjoyed looking at it, tilting it in the light, touching the sparkly, and repeatedly reading the verse.
Additionally, this card has reminded me of two things...
1. Stamping out a heartfelt greeting doesn't have to take oodles of stamping time.
I have all the materials Michelle used on her card readily available -- pretty prints, border punch, ribbon, & Nesties or oval/scalloped punches -- yet I often use the excuse of 'no time', and fail to get anything done. For shame! This was one stamp, stamped once, with no coloring. Even with a handful of minutes, I can certainly do that!
2. How powerful the Word of God is... It can stand alone on a card, and in turn, make the card a standout!
While I often include Scripture on my cards, I usually think of including the verse as an addition to other elements vs. letting it BE the card. Hmmm... time to start utilizing this new approach!
Just an old stamping dog, learning some new card making tricks,
P.S. While it may appear that I've been MIA this week, I've really just been busy collaborating with the smART Cookies on a new monthly challenge which will be open to anyone who wants to play. It's called The smART-Word Challenge, and will take the place of our old Tea Parties... More info. coming soon!
