Fall is here, and with it the local apple orchards are open for the picking. Such a fun activity, and so exciting, especially when one's children are young. Of course, this was awhile ago for our household, so nowadays, Mark, Eli, and I usually just visit the orchard's retail store, and select our apples from the assorted varieties attractively displayed in bushel baskets -- It's still fun and exciting... We stick with old favorites, try something new, and on our ride to and from the orchard, discuss which baked goods recipe I should pull out once we get the 'beauties' home... One of those special blessings of the season.
That's what I think about whenever I see the Angi-B apple basket image from FS-201 Tea Baskets... To me it epitomizes all the very best which this glorious, autumnal season has to offer. It's also why, when offered in single set format, the set was called Apple Joy.
Card assembly is pretty straight forward... Colored with markers and colored pencils with the bow portion 'popped' and glittered, and the apples glazed. The ribbon accent started out as a bright green/white gingham which was custom colored using a permanent yellow marker. Difficult to see, is the background of the card's base -- the tiny apple from HS-206 Tiny Treasures randomly stamped in Versamark.
Saying from FS-041 Tea Quotes 'n More, same tiny apple as used on the outside, but stamped twice, with a mask applied between impressions.
Bushels of autumn joy to you,
