For week 21, the ladies at the Less Is More Challenge blog provided this sketch. Since I always like "three-in-a-row" cards, I thought I'd end up being uber clever, but time didn't allow, so instead I chose papers/inks I've used together before, went a little vintage, and made a thank you card. Note: I think adding the words may have reduced the CAS status a bit, but the card looked too naked without them, and they fit the image so well that I couldn't resist.
Stamps: smARTworks from Going To Extremes (image), Something Good (words)
Card Size: 5.5" x 5.5" top-folded
Inks: Versafine Vintage Sepia, VersaMark
Coloring: Marvy Markers
Punches: Punch Bunch (scalloped circle), EK Success (circle)
Print: K & Co.
Embossing Powders: Transcendence clear used on images, Blushing Pink Opaque (Stamp 'n Stuff) used for words.
Tip: For super "clean" embossing on dark stock -- 1) Use a static pad before embossing. 2) Emboss in the natural light of a window. 3) Try using both a very small, round paintbrush (new, and reserved for this purpose), and/or a glue-tipped (dried glue) toothpick to remove stray "crumbs."
