Less Is More gave a color challenge this week: Aqua... a difficult color in that it's a lot like turquoise, but more green, and a lot like teal, but much lighter...
Anyway, as I started looking through my stashes of paper, ink pads, and embellishments, I found myself endlessly deliberating over was the color really aqua, or one of aqua's
cousins? It drove me bonkers! The card I ended up making incorporated stamps from The Dress and Swirly-gigs, and is for a young lady who will be turning sweet sixteen in just a few days.
Note: The background flowers were done with a duo blue/green Pearl-ex powder over Versamark ink, so in real life they shimmer, and change color with the light... sometimes more green... sometimes more blue... Guess that makes them aqua!
