smART Cookie, Peggy Lamb, is the only design team member without her very own blog, so occasionally, I'll be posting a piece of her work, and giving you the specifics right here...
If you happened to check out all the Emerge Challenge cards at smartrubber.com either yesterday or Friday, you've already seen this card, but since each of the other Cookies have detailed their creations via individual blogs (Mama Dini's Stamperia, Tah Dah!, and Dee's Studio), I thought you might enjoy reading about Peggy's "Textured Turtle."
Okay, all together now, "Awwwwww..." Believe me, when I opened the envelope, that was my initial reaction... Upon further inspection, and after reading her instructions, my "Awwwww" quickly changed to "Ahhhhhh!" because what looks somewhat complicated really is quite duplicable (is that a word???). Here are the details:
Cardstock Colors -- olive, rust and black.
Image and Saying-- stamped in black and clear embossed. Turtle then colored with pencils and Twinkling H2Os.
Oval Shapes for card and egg -- Coluzzle cutting template/system.
Embossed Panel-- Cuttlebug's Tiny Mosaic embossing folder and sponged with rust ink.
Other -- Slot punch, and 1/4" olive, grosgrain ribbon.
Remember the contest for you to win your very own Emerge set is still running... If you want to enter, just take a look at the previous post, and leave your comment there.
See you sometime tomorrow with a winner,
Susan T.
