Today was not a banner day. Nothing horrible happened, but I started it off by burning charring the toast, and things just seemed to go downhill from there... No matter what I did or touched, it was one step forward and two steps back all day long... Am ending it with a huge sigh of relief, and thanks to God that it has finally come to a close...
Somewhere amid all the chaos and foiled endeavors, I couldn't help but think of this card I made awhile ago:
It uses a saying from the WD-61 Every Day stamp set, the daisies from WD-87 Delight/Bliss/Pleasure, and a B/W color scheme enhanced by a "spot" of color.
In case you're wondering which white ink I used, it's Brilliance Moonlight White -- one of my favorites for dark paper. When the ink pad is nice and juicy, the ink covers wonderfully well, and dries quite white. Keep in mind, when you stamp with Brilliance, you don't see the full effects of the ink until it's completely dry, an average of 3-5 minutes.
The large daisy is a cut-out mounted to the card with foam tape, and it's center, after being colored with markers, sports a fairly thick coating of dimensional glaze.
I think God brought this card to mind today to help me remember to LOOK for the good things, no matter how small...
Noticing them didn't change all my less than perfect circumstances, but it did keep my attitude out of the dumpster, and helped me maintain a better perspective... It also tickled my funny bone a little -- Imagine! Taking a card I made for someone else months ago, and using it to minister to my own heart... Now that's the GOODness of God!
