Yesterday turned out to be one of the days to take my mother for an eye treatment. Including travel time, this is an all-day event, so by the time I returned home, made supper, and helped Eli with homework, etc. it was time for the Vice-Presidential debate (which I just HAD to see). So here I am with "the news" a day late, and I apologize. There is a lot to cover, however, so let's get started: Seems every time I state my intentions to post the next day, something stands in the way of me carrying through...

You may have wondered on Oct. 1, why no winning names were declared for the 2008 July-September quarter of the smART Card Stamping Contest. Three words -- Lack Of Participation. There were only two entries this time, and four are needed to run the contest. The two cards that did arrive have already been forwarded into the next quarter's contest.
The Cookies and I wish to welcome Donelda Wygiera of Wiggy's World to the Cookie Jar. Donelda has agreed to guest design at smARTworks for the next 12 weeks, and we are excited to have her with us. Can't wait to see what she's a gonna do!
