Okay, so today's the big day... the day I officially turn forty-eight. I decided to handle telling my age, much like I prefer to remove an adhesive bandage... quickly, in one fell swoop. Not entirely painless, but over and done with, and not so bad after all.
As for the day's festivities, I'm not much for celebrating in the true sense of the word, or even for noticing very much, and there's rarely any one thing I can name that I'd like to receive giftwise (unless it's time to stamp), so I usually just choose something commemorative to "do" -- something that's special to me, and makes me feel happy... fix a favorite meal, go out somewhere for coffee, or take a leisurely family walk while the foliage is still glorious...
This year, I knew my birthday would arrive on a Sunday, so I'd have to get creative to find an activity which could fit around the family's standard Sunday commitments. In fact, I started planning way back before October even got here as what my special something would be... Blog Birthday Cake!
It wasn't until the last couple of days, however, that I choose exactly what my cake would be like -- a four tier (one for each decade), rubber grab bag cake, with each tier worth exactly $48.00! Of course, I'm sure it goes without saying that the "flavor" of the rubber is smARTworks through and through. Yummy! Always my favorite!!! But by far, what makes this cake extra special for me, is having the opportunity to share it with you...
Here are the details:
GRAB BAG #1
GRAB BAG #2
GRAB BAG #3
GRAB BAG #4
As I pulled the cake rubber out of inventory, I got a little carried away, and ended up pulling much more than I needed, so here it sits, needing to be "re-shelved." ~Ugh, not something I feel like doing on my birthday. Sooooo as an alternative solution, anyone placing an order up until midnight tonight (the 26th), will have one of these extra sets popped into their order... Let's call it a complimentary taste of cake.
Please Note: I do not process orders on Sunday, so when you don't receive an immediate response, don't be concerned... On Monday morning, I will go by the original time printed on order e-mails.
Forty-eight, and feelin' great,
Susan T.
