... daisy! That's how my mind worked when I heard April's smART word. I then proceeded to make a couple of daisy-fresh cards:
This first card was actually the second one made using leftover pieces from my first creation, but it's the one I like better -- Two reasons: #1) It really says 'fresh' to me, and #2) It's a great ministry card.
The second card went exactly as planned, but when finished seemed 'lacking'. I waited overnight, looked at it again, and still wasn't happy.
That's when, once again, I could hear my best stamping bud, Liz, say, "You know, Susan, you can fix almost any card if you add enough glitter." Why not?!? I hauled out the glitter glue, and went to town. Halfway through I thought I was only making a big mess, but once finished and completely dry, those daisies were beauteous!
Other Details -- Size: 3.5" x 5" -- Stamps: Daisies from Slow Go, Bible verse from Ministry Mix, quote from Tumbling Daisies -- Flowers were stamped in pigment ink and clear embossed. Then cut out, 'curled' and layered -- Leaf punch and corner rounder by Carl -- Print paper by DCWV -- Paper lace was a gift -- Flower centers glittered, then glazed -- Glitter glue on the second card was applied with a small paintbrush.
Hope you've been inspired give this month's 'fresh' challenge a try,
Susan T.
