For week #17, the ladies over at Less Is More have challenged everyone with this sketch, and a choice... "Pick any one of the squares for your image, and leave the rest of the card as pure white space."
Okay. After sizing my card, I calculated the dimensions of the workable square, trimmed up a couple layers of cereal box to meet those dimensions, and used them as a guide to deboss the card front. This debossed area would serve as my "pick." From there it was easy -- stamp... color... embellish... done.
Stamps: smARTworks from Daisy Square, and Friends 'n Such
Card Size: 5" x 5" top folded
Inks: Memento Rich Cocoa (image), Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate (words)
Coloring: Colored Pencils & OMS
Other: 2.5" square debossed in center of card. Flower center was embellished with clear, holeless glass beads which were adhered with dimensional glaze, allowed to dry, then colored with an alcohol marker.
